The Art on Walls project has hit Macleay with its first submission going up earlier today at the Sydney campus.
Art on Walls is an internal project for Macleay College’s students and staff to get creative and have their works displayed around the college. The project, run by Jason Gemenis, aims to create a unique space that inspired and motivated students to achieve success.
Participants chose a quote about education, journalism, business or advertising and shot their own picture that related to the quote. The quote was then placed onto the photo, giving finalists the chance to have their own visual masterpieces hung around the Sydney campus.
There were 60 entrants with only eight finalists being chosen, two covering each topic. The eight finalists were chosen by a panel of staff and students who made up the student representative council.
The rest of the artwork will be installed and displayed later today. – Reported and photographed by Noah La’ulu
