In a potential terror-related attack, two police officers have been stabbed in Brussels by a Belgian civilian.
Officials have identified the attacker as 43-tear-old Hicham D. The suspect stabbed one officer in the neck and the other in the abdomen. As the suspect attempted to flee the scene, he was shot in the leg and apprehended by police.
The attack happened in Schaerbeek, a district north-east of the Belgian capital, the same area where the Brussels suicide bombers constructed the bombs for the Brussels airport attack. Federal prosecutors have not yet disclosed why they believed the attack was linked to terrorism.
Israel intercepts boat containing aid heading to Gaza
Israel’s navy has intercepted a boat heading for the Gaza strip where 1.9 million people are living in the impoverished enclave. The navy said in a statement on Wednesday that it had deflected the boat to prevent a “breach of the lawful maritime blockade” of the enclave.
The vessel was carrying aid from Spain and had 13 women on board, including Mariead Maguire, 1976 Nobel Prize Winner and a Northern Ireland activist. The UN called for the blockade to be lifted as conditions continue to decline since Israel and Palestine have been at war since 2008.

Trump’s Playboy videos
Two videos have emerged of Donald Trump with Playboy models in 1994 as the magazine searched for its 40th-anniversary cover model. In the videos obtained by CNN, Trump is seen photographing clothed models and conducting interviews with the girls.
The videos have surfaced shortly after Hillary Clinton pointed out Trump’s derogatory comments about women, including former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado who he called “plumpy” and an “eating machine”. – Compiled from various web sources by Alicia Fogarty, Alicia Camilleri and Samantha Besgrove
