Yume Teppanyaki – eating out with a difference.
What’s it all about
Ordering your food and having it brought out to you from the depths of the mysterious kitchen… It’s what we’re all used to when eating out. Watching your food being cooked right in front of you – now there’s an exciting twist. You watch as the chef places your food onto a burning hot cooking plate, explaining exactly what he is adding onto your food as he does it. That’s what you can expect when eating at Yume Teppanyaki restaurant in Gosford.
The good bits
Watching your food being cooked is an exciting experience. It seems like it wouldn’t be, but the chef’s techniques and method of tossing things into the air catches your attention. They make it almost like a game; you have to catch some parts of your meal in a bowl or even your mouth.
The atmosphere is also fantastic. The laughter mixed with the smells of the delicious sizzling food can excite any foodie.
The bad bits
If you’re looking for a quiet romantic dinner with your partner, this is definitely NOT it. The cheapest deal being $36 per person and you only receive a choice of seafood, steak and chicken which makes the experience a little pricey. If you want seafood, steak and chicken you’re looking at $45 per person.
With this being said, I recommend saving up every penny and heading over to Gosford for some teppanyaki with friends. It is definitely an experience you won’t regret.
