Republican frontrunner Donald Trump is predicting riots if he does not receive the party’s Presidential nomination after continuing his success in the latest primaries.
The latest stop in the United States primaries saw Mr. Trump continue his domination of the Republican Party, winning Florida, Illinois, Missouri, and North Carolina while Ohio went to hometown candidate Governor John Kasich.
Mr. Trump said he had already garnered the popular vote and warned of the consequences if the party denied him the nomination.
“I think you’d have riots,” he said. “I think you’d have riots. I’m representing a tremendous many, many millions of people.”
The Republican Party has attempted to distance themselves from the comments made by the billionaire businessman, which come after a weekend of controversy where a Trump rally was cancelled due to the large number of counter-protests.
After losing his home state of Florida, Marco Rubio announced yesterday he was suspending his campaign, bringing the number of Republican candidates down to three.
In the Democratic race, Hillary Clinton swept up wins in all the available states, narrowly edging out rival Bernie Sanders in Illinois and Missouri.
