Susannah Chambers began her career as an office manager at Allen & Unwin 11 years ago. She worked her way through the ranks from junior editor to editor and now senior editor of children’s books.
Ms Chambers’ very first editorial credit is Parvana’s Journey by Deborah Ellis. She says this years most anticipated book releases are When We Wake by Karen Healey and Evan’s Gallipoli by Kerry Greenwood.
The fellowship is the “highest national recognition and reward for the contribution editors make to Australian writing and publishing”. Past recipients include Lantern’s Jane Morrow.
