A man has died at Lighthouse Beach near Port Macquarie this morning after he disappeared while surfing.
His body was found washed up on the sand 40 minutes after a friend reported him missing.
Paramedics were called to the scene but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. The man, believed to be in his mid 30s, is yet to be formally identified.
