The Night Noodle Markets have returned to Sydney’s Hyde Park for another instalment of good food, drinks and entertainment.
This year’s event, which celebrates Good Food Month, features a record number of vendors for the festival. The 50 stalls include some of Sydney’s best Asian eateries, bars and dessert favourites.
Night Noodle Market Creative Director, Myffy Rigby said last night proved a “resounding success”.
“A little drizzling rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the thousands of people who flocked to the opening night of the Noodle Markets to eat the dumplings, meat skewers, baos and crazy dessert creations we have on offer,” she said.
“One of the most exciting things to happen last night was an appearance from Momofuku Milk Bar’s dessert queen and inventor of the compost cookie Christina Tosi,” she said.
The US MasterChef star launched pop up stalls The Singleton Whisky and Sugar Bar at the opening night.
Ms Rigby said this year’s event promises to have something for everyone with a dance-off at the Harvey Norman Fit Zone, Dj’s on Friday and Saturday nights and a Ping-Pong Parlour ran by Nova 96.9.
Market-goers have the chance to win double-passes to a Sydney Good Food Month event by tagging photo’s with the festival’s official hashtag: #jointhefeast
The markets run from October 8 to 25 and entry is free.
