Former NBA star Lamar Odom (left) has allegedly been in hospital in a coma suffering from brain damage.
Multiple drugs like cocaine were found on Odom’s body, according to a source from Sunrise Hospital. He hasn’t regained consciousness, and has been kept in a ventilator.
“Likely there’s brain damage, but they’re not sure how much,” the source said. “Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system.”
The 35-year old was found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada, and was taken to the hospital straight away. It was revealed in a press conference on Wednesday that 911 was informed by the caller that Odom had taken drugs like cocaine on Saturday. Police have begun investigations into the incident, obtaining blood samples that will be submitted for testing to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police laboratory.
Odom remains in a critical condition with the support of loved ones, including former wife, Khloe Kardashian, who has been by his side since he was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday.
He was also visited by former LA Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant, who left an exhibition game early to visit Odom.
Bryant was also joined by Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak.
