Heath Ledger is still making an impact five years after his shock death. A limited edition commemorative T-shirt has been launched by Aussie photographer Ben Watts in conjunction with Ledger’s designer sister, Elana Rosa.
The loose-fitting, wide-necked T-shirt emblazoned with a large photo print of a smirking Ledger is indicative of the star’s laidback style. The image of Heath with his skateboard was taken by Watts during a free-boarding session in the dry bed of the Los Angeles River in 2004.

The commemorative T-shirt designed by Heath’s sister Elana Rose will raise funds for charities in Australia and the US.
The limited edition T-shirt is the first Heath Ledger product to be approved by the trustees of Heathʼs estate and has full endorsement from his family.
Ms Rosa admits that creating the T-shirt has been an enjoyable exercise after a tough five years, bringing the family closer together. “We all had input to the process, especially his other sisters Kate, Ashleigh, Olivia and Nadia, who all got involved and collaborated,” she told The Newsroom.
“Ben and I just collaborated on a style and cut for the garment.”
The T-shirt can be purchased from the website www.heathledger.com.au for $105. Proceeds of worldwide sales will benefit the Channel 7 Australia Telethon Trust (supporting the Heath Ledger Scholarship for childrenʼs brain cancer research) and the Los-Angeles-based Australians In Film Organisation’s Heath Ledger Scholarship. – Kristy Coulcher
