Tourist gang raped in Sydney
A tourist has allegedly been sexually assaulted by several men after an organised meeting through the dating app Tinder. The 28-year-old woman met the man in a Kings Cross restaurant last Saturday before going with him to a bar. Police have released information that the woman felt dizzy and numb at the time, waking up in a unfamiliar property and was sexually assaulted by a number of men. An investigation over the incident has been launched with detectives issuing a warning around the dating app.
Pythons to be cut in half
Nestle has announced it will be cutting the Killer Python in half in an effort to help Australians manage their health. The iconic Australian treat will be down-sized from 47 grams (630kj) to 24 grams (336kj). The price will also be reduced. The new, smaller “treat size” Killer Python will hit stores this month. It comes with a hashtag #treatsizepython.
Unemployment rate increases
The Australian unemployment rate has risen from 6.0 to 6.1 with almost 30,000 job losses in the month of September. The Bureau of Statistics figures estimated that 21,000 jobs were added, but was offset by 51,300 fall in part-time employment.
