Bluesfest announced a slew of new acts to perform at the festival early next year, mere weeks after their first artist lineup was released.
Among said musicians is sex symbol and ex-The Voice UK judge Tom Jones, who will be playing alongside one half of Oasis, Noel Gallagher and his band The High Flying Birds.
Also headlining is revered folk songwriter and Rock’n’Roll Hall of Famer Jackson Browne, who last performed at the festival a decade ago.
Oregon folksters The Decemberists, guitar virtuoso Grace Potter and revered country crooner Steve Earle, will also take to the stage for Aussie audiences. They will be joined by modern blues legends Joe Bonamassa and The Tedeschi Trucks Band, both of who were featured in the first artist announcement.
Bluesfest organiser Peter Noble expressed his excitement in this morning’s festival newsletter: “Here it is – the second announcement and it’s like a Royal Easter Show bag of the best music on the planet…so many goodies – chock full of surprises and with a couple of legendary favourites to top it off.”
Having previously expressed his desire to “keep it contemporary”, the upcoming artist announcements are sure to be equally as impressive and diverse as the first two.
