Following Mike Baird’s back down on the greyhound racing ban, many are hoping the controversial lockout laws will be next in his sights.
After admitting he “got it wrong” with greyhound racing, it has been suggested Mike Baird could be preparing to act on the widely criticised liquor laws that were implemented back in 2014.
Former High Court Judge Ian Callinan’s 151-page report into the Sydney lockout laws has been given a lot more attention this week with many calling for the implementation of his proposed plan. Mr Callinan’s proposal suggests a two-year trial period that focuses on allowing live music venues to stay open longer with a half hour extension.
