Award winning photojournalist, Luke Fuda, is always in high demand. He regularly contributes to publications such as Liverpool Champion, Fairfield Champion, South-West Advertiser and many more.
Fuda’s love for photography started when he was young, “I used to play basketball and during high school. I travelled to the US and decided if I couldn’t be a professional athlete I would sit on the sidelines and take photos instead.”
He graduated from TAFE with a Certificate III and Diploma of Photography. “I basically went to get the accreditation to say I was a professional photographer, so when I went out in the early days I knew how to take photos.”
Luke started as a sport photographer and while he loved every minute of it, working every weekend made a work/life balance impossible. So he decided to get into print media instead.
Luke is also a videographer and makes mini documentries on interesting people he has met through his line of work. “The longer you sit down and talk to a person the more you can get to know them and find out what their true love and passion is in life.”
“I’m always going to stay in with pictures, whether it’s stills or video. It’s a passion of mine I’ve been doing for so long and I love every second of it because there is a different job everyday. I see myself sticking around for as long as I can.”
